what’s creative commons?
It’s a kind of license that offers an alternative to copyright. Basically, the author of a work can claim authorship while leaving their work free to copy, share, produce derivatives, and more. There are plenty of different Creative Commons licenses; here at Bahá’í children’s class ideas, we use the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 license, which means that unless otherwise noted, you can use anything on this website freely as long as you:
- give credit;
- don’t use it for commercial purposes; and
- distribute any derivative works under the same or a similar license.
One of the things we love at Bahá’í children’s class ideas is sharing our experience as freely as possible, so that as many people as possible can benefit. Creative Commons lets us do that in a pretty foolproof way. If you have something you’d like us to share freely with the world, we hope you’ll be OK if we share it in this way—you get credit, and the world gets what you’ve created.
